Work furlough inmate Jordan Kaneshiro is back in custody at the Hawaii Community Correctional Center after police arrested him Sunday morning.
On Nov. 26, Kaneshiro failed to return to the Hale Nani Furlough Center after job-seeking. He was classified as community custody, the lowest inmate security level.
Kaneshiro was serving time for terroristic threatening and domestic abuse. He’s expected to be charged with second-degree escape, a Class C felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment.
His next parole hearing is scheduled for January.
